i just wanted to share a moment of fun with every one,if anyone remembers i have mentioned my little staffy before, well i in a mad moment, decided to have a bit of a clean as you do when bored and the sun comes out, feeling good,i got all my cleaning products out and placed on the worktop in order of what was first ie-eye level then i was going to work down till i got to knee level if possible and stop for that day,not alot to do as i have a bungalow,ok, you might think, but in my wisdom with said dog by my feet at all times, he was just waiting for what came next, even wanting what came next i am sure there was a glint in his eye,yes i turned round to clean a mirror at eye level and went flat out by way of dog,i am sure he sniggered at me,he then got me yes a full slobber specs an all,how could i be angry at him, mmm, well now to get up as it did hurt a bit, so as i had taught him to help me get up etc on command, HE decided i needed help by pushing himself sideways under my chest,(i was by this time on my hands and knees,)and proceded to right himself and push me up but by now i had a picture in my mind of this sight and was starting to giggle,he took that as his cue to really go for it and bull doze me to the up position as was taught to him,but he just kept licking me, arms, under chin any skin available all the time,my son came in at this point for a cuppa and when rocky saw him he flipped me up bit harder than normal due to excitment, i had been giggling alot too, i then landed back where i started and he toddled off i was in fits of laughter by then, thankfully my son got me to my feet, the dog just sort of looked at me and snorted as if to say ok job done your on your feet sons here he'll help now and went outside,i am fine but i was sore from laughing to be honest,i love dog to bits but he did litterly get under my feet, mental note from now on "where's rocky."dorothy.

Oh Dorothy-I did chuckle at that! It must be a staffy thing to get under the feet, we are forever having to avoid Jack!

Now you've taught him to get you up , perhaps you should teach him not to get you down there in the first place!BigGrin

What a lovely little story Dorothy BigGrin

Rocky is certainly a clever little chap, I m fond of staffs but for my sins now have two quite young pugs and constantly both of them under my feet when I m in the kitchen, don t think they will ever be a clever as your boy.

thanks peeps, have had a few bumps against the wall with him,he likes to be first to get anywhere, sadly even i found the whole thing funny and i have a sore butt now,it was easy'ish to train him but do need alot of patience and soya chicken bits as when young anything is for chewing,my daughter signs for the deaf and he does obey signing, again time and effort but the return is worth it,he is 8 now,he was a rescue pup at 9months and very timid but love and time helped, they do give the love back, just keep a look out for the dreaded trip up, getting between you and the sink is a favourite, oh and they growl when playing, listen and you will hear the difference, julie and i have talked dog before hah! hah! at least he keeps me amused, now trying to get him to shut the front door after he comes in, he thumps the handle down then walks in like lord of the manor, maybe one day!! dorothy.
